Tax Credit for Aid to Women Center
Aid to Women Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. We rely on the generosity of our donors to allow us to serve the needs of the women coming to us for help.
Aid to Women Center qualifies for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit, also known as the Contributions to Qualifying Charitable Organizations. What this means for you is that you can give to Aid to Women Center at no cost to you. Aid to Women Center's Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO) Code is 20350.
Great news! If you have been having trouble with our QCO code for 2021, our recertification process has been accepted by the Department of Revenue and we will be re-added to the qualifying charities list on March 12th. After the 12 you can resubmit your 2020 Arizona taxes using our code without any issues and claim your donation. We apologize for the delay and confusion but thank you for your patience and generosity.
A tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction on the income tax you owe. Tax credits reduce the amount of income tax you owe on your Arizona Tax Return. For example, if you owe $1,200 in state taxes and have donated $800 to Aid to Women Center, you are eligible for an $800 tax credit, and your net liability drops to $400.
There are four available tax credits in Arizona:
- Qualifying Charitable Organization
- Private School Tuition Organization
- Public School Extracurricular
- Military Family Relief Fund
You can get full credit for each of these funds. You do not have to pick between them. If you are already getting credit for the public or private school tax credit donation, don't worry: you can give to both and still take full credit all contributions.
The Arizona Charitable Tax Credit for Charitable Organizations has recently doubled. This means that married taxpayers can get up to $800 in AZ Tax Credit when you donate to Aid to Women Center while single taxpayers can get up to $400 in AZ Tax Credit. This new law also extends the deadline for contributions to April 15 of the following year. This means that April 15, 2021 is the deadline to donate for the 2020 tax year.
Please consider donating to Aid to Women Center. You can give $800 as a couple or $400 individually and get it all back when you file your Arizona Taxes.
